Summary

Greetings!
The Tile & Controller Update is splitt into 2 parts after all mainly because the 2/2 part might take 1  - 1 .5 more weeks.

In this part There have been added a couple on cool new things

Resource Bar Section
Resource Bar section with a disabled menu button on the left

This will indicate the amount of Goods you've still got on stock, these will be used for various things such as Building new Buildings, Upgrading Buildings, Spawning Entities, Upgrading Building/Entity/other related upgrade, etc.

Purchase Info Box and Costs Box Indicators
Mouse hovering over available buildings to built from the Builds Bar Section and Displaying the Build-Costs &; Info Boxes

An awesome combo of an Info Box Displaying all information necesary regarding the GUI button you're hovering your mouse above and a Costs Box Indicating how much this action costs if anything at all. Displays  the digits in red if a resource is too low, and you now cannot build any more tiles unless you have enough resources for it.

Custom Tile Actions

Automatical Custom tile actions system in the tile controller menu that allow you for various actions based on the selected tile and allow me for a faster implementation!
It will be expanded in the next update with more actions and the default buttons of each tile will get funcrtionality as well!

That's all so far regarding the important parts of the Update, the rest is just a bunch of bug fixes  (still going to face even more on the next update regarding the info and costs box together with the tile controller window) and minor improments that you can't notice because they are minor and feel too good to be aware of!

Notes

  • The Info box has a bug where, when you click certain buttons from the tile controller it fades out for ever, or stays constantly solid on screen. And it is generally pretty buggy, but It will be solved on the next Update.
  • The next update will commence between the next 7 and 10 days, (13th and 16th of June), so don't forget to follow me or this project so you can stay tuned with that thru a notification for when its out!

  • Write Code for Pop-Up GUI That Displays costs of tile to build
  • Set up and write code for automatically adaptable buttons generation system

  • Write the GUI InfoBox Animation Code for correct execution
  • Clean Up  UI Components  Code
  • Pixel Art New Builds Bar BG with all those slot holders
  • Fix TileController GUI Setup
  • Further Improve the Build Bar for functionality like the old one but with the new system
  • Further Improve Code for Tile Controller GUI Action Functionality

Comments

  • Thank you for dropping by, it means a lot to me as a game dev if anyone (other than myself) cares enough to read any bit of these DevLogs.
    I'm going to practice on improving them so they aren't super tiring to read atleast halfway every time.
  • This  automated (pre - runtime)customizable button generation system is perhaps the part I'm most excited about in this update, because only due to this system the upcoming updates that will regard balance and new features will be quite much more regular!
  • Also due to this system mentioned above, did this update 1. Got cut into 2 parts and 2. Cause an about 8-10 days delay for the update. But I think in the end it was worth it ♥
  • If I'll get to have a spare full day for the upcomming update I will consider making a full menu and in game menu! (without saving system though, this will come up in a later update, so don't worry about that ♥)
